Story

Having recently relocated to the Isle of Wight after more than 25 years working in higher education, I am excited to bring my experience of creative learning, community engagement, public-facing events and supporting diverse groups of people into a new chapter focused on nature, craft and sustainable making.

My connection with the natural world began at the age of seven, when I was given my first Roger Phillips book Wild Flowers of Britain. Since then, my curiosity has grown through years of observation, identification, research, and independent study. I have a particular fascination with foraging, natural dyeing, herbal remedies, and exploring the history, uses, and journeys of plants—from their origins to their place within our landscapes and everyday lives.

Throughout my career, I have designed and delivered creative workshops, talks and events for a wide range of audiences, including degree students, corporations, community groups, school children, action groups and the wider public. I enjoy creating welcoming spaces where people can learn, share knowledge, experiment and develop a deeper connection with the materials and environments around them.
